Mack began his racing career in 1996 at Bowman Gray Stadium.  In his first year of racing he was able to pick up his first career win in the Street Stock class.  He was able to maintain 3rd in points to pick up the 1996 Rookie of the Year Award.  He continued to race in the Street Stock class for the next few years.  He was able to claim the 1999 and 2000 Championship for the Street Stock class.

In 2001 Mack decided to contend in the Sportsman Class at Bowman Gray.  He was able to finish out the year with 4 victories and finish 2nd in the points.  Also he was able to pick up the 2001 Rookie of the Year.

The years that Mack raced at Bowman Gray he was very popular among the fans.  He won the Most Popular Driver award in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000.


Mack's next move in his racing career was to race a Late Model Stock Truck.  This is when he began racing at Hickory Motor Speedway.  In 2002  he was able to pick up his first win and also to highlight that year he won the Bobby Issac Memorial picking up his 2nd win, and won the 2002 Rookie of the Year.

He continued to race in the Late Model Stock Truck for the next two years.  He was able to bring home back to back Championships in 2003 & 2004.  Also in 2004 he was named Most Popular Driver.  In 2003 was crowned the Valvoline National Truck Champion along with the Track Championship and the Big 10 Championship.  In 2004 he won the Big 10 Championship as well.  Out of the 4 years in the Truck Series Mack's biggest victory was 2005 at South Boston Speedway in VA.

In 2005 debuted in a Late Model Stock car at Hickory.  He finished 5th in points, won 1 pole, and was claimed the highest finishing rookie.  The next two years Mack raced sparingly in the Late Model Stock division.  In 2008 Mack raced at 3 differnt tracks picking up his first career win and to top off the season with 2 wins 1 pole and 4th in the points at Caraway . With the 2009 season in the record books .Mack was able to score  one win in the 2009 season and several top 5 and 10 finshes . Mack is looking forward to the 2010 season . Driving for HSR in the Nascar Sportsman division and competing in the Nascar Late Model Stock Car division for MLR .
